Spire Labs is building a Based Appchain framework on Ethereum. This “Based Stack” enables people to spin up app-specific L2s that are composable with Ethereum mainnet and other app chains.

We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps engineer to join our growing team. The goal is to build the secure development environment and products.

What are the role responsibilities?

• Production hardening releases / deployments / secrets management
• Setting up data pipelines for blockchain data (starting with duckdb, migrate to clickhouse)
• Add monitoring & telemetry & dashboards for service observability
• Leading external review process and audit.

As a DevSecOps Engineer here, what skills do you bring?

• Experience: 5+ years in DevOps, with a strong focus on security.
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience with statically typed language (Go or Rust preferred)
  • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Clickhouse, DuckDB, etc)
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Key management services a plus (KMS, Vault, etc)
• Blockchain Experience: Understanding of Ethereum and L2s is a significant plus.
• Collaboration: Effective communication skills and the ability to work across diverse, remote teams.
